Sweet Sisters – Good with People – Ideally placed together
Sweet BIMBA and her equally sweet sister Luna-Blacky were surrendered to the shelter through no fault of their own.
They were adopted from Akira 6 years ago. Their owner has serious health issues and can unfortunately no longer take care of them.
Therefore we are looking for a home where ideally the two sisters can stay together as they grew up together and are so very happy when they see each other after being separated for only a few minutes!
They are housetrained, good with children and other dogs. They do need some time and patience to learn to walk on a leash as they grew up in a large garden.

MOLLY is a very sweet beautiful – albeit chubby – girl. She is a purebred Carlino, also known as a “”Pug”.
Molly is about 10 years old and has stolen the hearts of everyone. She is in good health.
She is in foster care but looking for a forever home. Molly is very affectionate, she loves to cuddle and play.
She is good with other dogs and cats and is a great family dog.

Only Dog in the House- Has Character – Loves the Sofa
MILOU´s owner died in October 2025, and the children refused the inheritance and did not want to have anything to do with her dog Milou.
We cleaned his teeth and castrated him and now he is in a foster home, but we are urgently looking for a forever home especially because the foster mum is traveling a lot and cannot really keep him long term.
Milou is very attached to people, however he has quite some character. He is an alfa male, so would be best to be placed in a home as an only dog.
He has still quite some energy, loves to go for nice walks, is good in the car and for the rest of the time he really enjoys sleeping on the sofa!
Milou is housetrained.

Very Nervous – Needs Time and Patience
RAI had been living on the streets since months before we were able to catch him. He arrived together with another small female podenco who was as nervous as him. It was impossible for us to touch both for months.
But then the female changed and became very attached to people and started to play with other dogs.
Since this summer we are finally starting to gain Rai´s confidence too. He let´s us stroke him now, he will eat out of our hand and is getting there slowly. When you touch him he is still very wary and unsure, but you can see on his body language that he does want to come closer.
When you arrive close to his kennel he always comes to the front wagging his tail. So we think that with time he will also change just like his female friend.
For Rai we are looking for an owner who has experience with nervous dogs, and who has maybe another female dog Rai can learn from.

ZARA came to us in October 2024. She had lived in the campo with another 50 podenco´s when the owner passed away.
She never really had any human contact. When she arrived we mixed her with another group of podenco´s to whom she quickly got attached to. She learned how to play…
It was impossible for us to touch her for many months. Since this summer we are finally starting to gain her confidence. She let´s us stroke her now, will eat out of your hand and is getting there slowly.
For Zara we are looking for an owner who has experience with nervous dogs, and who has a pack of other dogs who can guide her.

Gentle Elderly Lady- Needs Special Care – Loves Cuddles
OLIVIA was found in Teulada, she was in a very bad condition. At the vet´s they noticed that her sugar level was so incredibly high that she would have died within days without any special treatment.
She stayed in hospital on a drip for 5 days to get her stable again. Since then she gets 2 injections of insulin per day. Due to her diabetes her eyes started to get worse, and unfortunately finished in total blindness.
Olivia is very gentle soul, she goes home with one of our staff during the night since a couple of weeks and is just a lovely dog.
She enjoys lying on the sofa, receiving cuddles and is friendly to other dogs and also to cats.
She does drink a lot due to her diabetes so she needs to go out quite often. We hope to be able to find her a nice permanent home because shelter life for a blind dog is very difficult.
